Germany’s heavyweight bobsleigh victory

Germany's return to Olympic Bobsleigh competitions at Oslo 1952 ended with gold medals and much controversy as the two-man and four-man team took the titles at least partly thanks to their huge weight advantage. Rules were changed following the German success, because the average weight of the winning athletes was greater than that of the Olympic Heavyweight Boxing champion.
